Nur wenige Minuten später am Mittwochmorgen, 20.04.22 wurden die Abteilungen Flehingen und Oberderdingen um 8.53 Uhr von der integrierten Leitstelle Karlsruhe erneut zu einem Brandeinsatz zur Firma CR-Recycling ins interkommunale Industriegebiet „Kreuzgarten“ in Flehingen alarmiert. Im Recyclingbetrieb im Robert-Bosch-Ring hatte die automatische Brandmeldeanlage Alarm geschlagen.

Nach dem Eintreffen der ersten Kräfte am Einsatzort und der anschließenden Lageerkundung sowie der Kontrolle des Objekts konnte allerdings wiederum keine genaue Ursache für die Alarmauslösung gefunden werden. Vermutlich hatten wieder Sonnenlichtreflexionen die optischen Melder der Anlage getäuscht. Weitere Maßnahmen waren somit nicht notwendig, das Objekt wurde nach dem Rückstellen der Brandmeldeanlage schließlich wieder an den Betreiber übergeben.

Im Einsatz waren acht Feuerwehrangehörige der Abteilung Flehingen mit dem Hilfeleistungslöschgruppenfahrzeug HLF 16/20 sowie 16 Kräfte der Abteilung Oberderdingen mit dem Löschgruppenfahrzeug LF 16/20 und dem Einsatzleitwagen ELW 1. Weitere Kräfte waren in Bereitstellung. Vom Rettungsdienst des DRK-Kreisverbands Karlsruhe war ein Rettungswagen RTW mit zwei Mitarbeiter*innen von der Wache Bretten auf der Anfahrt. Sie konnten den Einsatz jedoch abbrechen. Einsatzende war gegen 9.30 Uhr.
