Zum 1. September 2026 übernahm Erster Polizeihauptkommissar Dirk Fütterer die Leitung des Polizeireviers Bretten. Er folgt damit auf Polizeioberrat Bernhard Brenner, der das Revier zwölf Jahre lang leitete und im Mai 2026 zum Präsidium Technik, Logistik, Service der Polizei wechselte.

Mit Dirk Fütterer übernimmt ein erfahrener Polizeibeamter die Verantwortung für das Polizeirevier Bretten. Der 52-Jährige trat 1993 in den Polizeidienst ein und war ab 1998 in verschiedenen Verwendungen beim Polizeipräsidium Karlsruhe tätig. Ab 2007 sammelte Fütterer zudem internationale Erfahrungen im Rahmen mehrerer Auslandsmissionen. Im Jahr 2016 wechselte er zum Innenministerium Baden-Württemberg, wo er zunächst mit Personalangelegenheiten befasst und anschließend in der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit tätig war.

Mit der Übernahme der Leitung des Polizeireviers Bretten kehrt Dirk Fütterer nun an eine Dienststelle zurück, die für ihn auch persönlich eine besondere Bedeutung hat.

"Als gebürtiger Brettener geht für mich ein Stück weit ein Traum in Erfüllung, künftig mein Heimatrevier leiten zu dürfen. Gleichzeitig habe ich großen Respekt vor der Verantwortung für rund 60 Kolleginnen und Kollegen sowie vor der Aufgabe, gemeinsam mit ihnen für die Sicherheit von rund 60.000 Menschen zu sorgen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass wir gemeinsam die Polizeiarbeit in unserem Zuständigkeitsbereich auch künftig erfolgreich, menschlich und zuverlässig gestalten werden", so Fütterer.
