Leingarten/Oberderdingen. Die Freiwillige Feuerwehr Leingarten im Landkreis Heilbronn konnte am vergangenen Wochenende, 26.-28.04.24 ihr neues Feuerwehrhaus einweihen und offiziell seiner Bestimmung übergeben, nachdem es bereits am 28.12.23 bezogen wurde. Zwei Angehörige der Abteilung Oberderdingen waren am Sonntag in der 12 000-Einwohner-Stadt Leingarten bei den Festlichkeiten vor Ort und konnten sich ein Bild vom Neubau machen und Eindrücke mit nach Hause nehmen.

Das neue Feuerwehrhaus für die knapp 80 Aktiven der Einsatzabteilung mit acht Stellplätzen für sieben Fahrzeuge plus Waschhalle hat eine Nutzfläche von etwa 1.890 m², kostete rund 9,5 Millionen Euro und hat ebenso wie das Haus in Oberderdingen einen Übungsturm, allerdings mit einer Höhe von „nur“ 14,6 Metern. Es ersetzt ein Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1959 mit diversen An- und Umbauten. Der Bedarf eines Neubaus entstand unter anderem auch aus der Beschaffung einer laut Feuerwehrbedarfsplan notwendigen neuen Drehleiter für Leingarten, die im alten Feuerwehrhaus keinen Platz mehr gefunden hätte.
