BlaulichtAm Freitagmittag, 05.04.2024 wurden die Abteilungen Flehingen und Oberderdingen um 14.11 Uhr von der Integrierten Leitstelle Karlsruhe mit der Alarmmeldung „Rauchentwicklung im oder aus Gebäude“ zu einem Brandeinsatz in die Carl-Neff-Straße im Stadtteil Flehingen alarmiert. Mitarbeiter der Firma Schwarz meldeten über den Euro-Notruf 112 den Brand von Elektroschrott auf dem Firmengelände des Recyclingunternehmens und stellten einen Einweiser für die Feuerwehr bereit. Zudem hatte zwischenzeitlich die automatische Brandmeldeanlage ebenfalls Alarm ausgelöst.

Nach dem Eintreffen an der Einsatzstelle ergab die Lageerkundung, dass etwa 5m3 Elektroschrott in einem 40m3 großen, geschlossenen Abrollcontainer in Brand geraten waren. Der Container war nach dem Erkennen des Brandes geistesgegenwärtig, frühzeitig von Mitarbeitern mit einem LKW aus einer Werkshalle ins Freie gezogen worden, so dass keine Gefahr des Übergreifens mehr bestand und kein Schaden an der Halle entstanden ist.

Das Feuer wurde von einem Trupp unter Atemschutz mit einem C-Rohr abgelöscht. Parallel dazu wurde die Wasserversorgung aus dem Hydrantennetz aufgebaut und sichergestellt sowie die Werkshalle kontrolliert und belüftet. Zwei weitere Atemschutztrupps standen in Bereitschaft. Verletzt wurde niemand.

Im Einsatz bzw. in Bereitstellung waren neun Feuerwehrangehörige der Abteilung Flehingen mit dem Hilfeleistungslöschgruppenfahrzeug HLF 16/20 sowie 23 Kräfte der Abteilung Oberderdingen mit dem Löschgruppenfahrzeug LF 16/20 und dem Einsatzleitwagen ELW 1. Der Rettungsdienst des DRK-Kreisverbands Karlsruhe mit einem Organisatorischen Leiter Rettungsdienst, zwei weiteren Mitarbeitenden, einem Kommandowagen KdoW und einem Rettungswagen RTW aus Bretten angerückt. Zur Einsatzstelle eilten ebenfalls sechs Helfende der Notfallhilfe und der Bereitschaft des DRK-Ortsvereins Flehingen mit dem Notfallhilfeeinsatzfahrzeug, dem Krankenwagen KTW und dem Mannschaftstransportwagen MTW. Die Polizei war mit zwei Beamt*innen und einem Streifenwagen vom Revier Bretten vor Ort. Einsatzende war gegen 16.10 Uhr.
