Der Gerätewagen-Logistik GW-L 2 ist ein geländefähiges Logistikfahrzeug und dient dem Transport von Mannschaft, Ausrüstung und sonstigem Material.

Der GW-L 2 besitzt einen an die serienmäßige, fahrgestellseitige Doppelkabine anschließenden Gerätekoffer, gefolgt von einer als Koffer ausgeführten Ladefläche mit Ladebordwand.

Die Ladefläche kann mit divsersen Rollcontainer beladen werden und so flexibel an die Einsatzanforderungen angepasste Ausrüstung bereitstellen, insbesondere für spezielle technische Hilfeleistungen, Hochwassereinsätze, Sturmlagen, Vegetationsbrände oder anderen Großschadenslagen.

Mit dem ebenfalls beschafften Ausrüstungssatz Wasserversorgung kann der GW-L 2 die Aufgaben eines Schlauchwagens übernehmen.

Die Besatzung besteht aus einer Staffel (1/5) und kann vor allem bei Unwetterlagen als selbstständige Einheit eingesetzt werden.

 

Das Fahrzeug wurde am 01.10.2024 in Dienst genommen und ersetzt einen Rüstwagen RW 1.
