02.10.2022 - Willy Ribetto erhält DFV-Auszeichnung für Internationale Zusammenarbeit

Im festlichen Rahmen der Fahrzeugübergabe der beiden Mittleren Löschfahrzeuge wurde Willy Ribetto, Leiter der Freiwilligen Waldfeuerwehr „Squadra Volontari Antincendi Boschivi di Villar Perosa AIB“ von Oberderdingens Partnergemeinde Villar Perosa auf Vorschlag der Feuerwehr Oberderdingen am Sonntag, 02.10.22 vom stellvertretenden Kreisfeuerwehrverbandsvorsitzenden des Landkreises Karlsruhe Thorsten Albrecht mit der „Medaille für internationale Zusammenarbeit in Bronze“ des Deutschen Feuerwehrverbands ausgezeichnet.

Die Medaille für internationale Zusammenarbeit ist bestimmt für ausländische Personen, die sich um die internationale Zusammenarbeit mit den deutschen Feuerwehren und ihren Verbänden Verdienste erworben haben. Sie wurde in Oberderdingen bisher nur einmal verliehen, und zwar im Jahr 2010 an den damaligen Kommandanten der Feuerwehr Panzendorf (Heinfels), Albert Mitteregger (Bericht).

Thorsten Albrecht würdigte Kommandant Willy Rebetto in seiner Laudatio als treibende Kraft in der Partnerschaft zwischen der Waldbrandfeuerwehr Villar Perosa und der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Oberderdingen schon seit Beginn der Gemeindepartnerschaft im Jahr 2006. Im Bereich der Feuerwehr liegt ihm der kameradschaftliche, wie auch der fachliche Austausch sehr am Herzen. Seit 2006 sind jährliche gegenseitige Besuche fest im Jahresprogramm beider Feuerwehren verankert.

Bei den gegenseitigen Besuchen ist Willy Ribetto die treibende Kraft, wenn es darum geht, diese zu organisieren. Die Programmpunkte bei unseren Besuchen in Villar Perosa sind immer bestens vorbereitet und man fühlt sich wie in einer Familie herzlich willkommen.

Willy Ribetto hat früh erkannt, wie wichtig für seine Feuerwehr ein wasserführendes Fahrzeug zur Waldbrandbekämpfung ist. Daraus entstand die Idee, unser ehemaliges Tanklöschfahrzeug mit Baujahr 1977 zu übernehmen. Das Fahrzeug konnte im Jahr 2015 durch unsere Feuerwehr nach Villar Perosa überführt werden und wurde 2016 offiziell bei einer Feierstunde übergeben. Seitdem unterstützt die Waldbrandfeuerwehr Villar Perosa regelmäßig die zuständige Berufsfeuerwehr (in Italien militärisch organisiert) oder leistet bei Unwetterkatastrophen Hilfe. Es ist für uns aus Oberderdingen beeindruckend, mit wieviel Herzblut Willy Ribetto und seine Kameraden den Selbstschutz für ihre Heimat organisieren und aufbauen.

Nicht unerwähnt soll die Spende der Waldfeuerwehr Villar Perosa für die Breitwellenrutsche im neuen Oberderdinger Freibad bleiben, welche die Verbundenheit zu Oberderdingen zeigt.

Überrascht nahm Willy Ribetto die Auszeichnung entgegen und war spätestens beim Spielen der italienischen Nationalhymne zu seinen Ehren durch den Musikverein Oberderdingen sichtlich gerührt! Er bedankte sich für die Auszeichnung unter anderem mit den Worten: für mich gibt es keine Grenzen mehr zwischen unseren Ländern, ich fühle mich als Europäer!

Ehre wem Ehre gebührt! Du hast es verdient. Herzlichen Glückwunsch Willy Ribetto!
