09.04.2022 - Kreisfeuerwehrtage 2022: Seminar "Großtierrettung" besucht

Landkreis Karlsruhe. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe zu den Kreisfeuerwehrtagen 2022 des Kreisfeuerwehrverbands Landkreis Karlsruhe fand vom 08.-10.04.22 in Walzbachtal-Jöhlingen ein Seminar zum Thema „Großtierrettung“ statt, an dem auch drei Kameraden der Feuerwehr Oberderdingen teilnahmen. Insgesamt hatten sich fast 60 Teilnehmer*innen aus den Feuerwehren des Landkreises und aus Nachbarlandkreisen für die außergewöhnliche Weiterbildung angemeldet, die von Herrn Dr. Christoph Peterbauer von der Animal Rescue Academy durchgeführt wurde.

Dozent Herr Dr. Peterbauer, promovierter Veterinär, Notfalltierarzt, Feuerwehrmann und Tierrettungsspezialist aus Österreich hat sich im Bereich der Tierrettung – und hier im Besonderen in der Rettung von Großtieren – einen ausgezeichneten Ruf erarbeitet und gilt als einziger Spezialist auf diesem Gebiet. Pferde oder Rinder aus einer misslichen Lage zu befreien, kann für Feuerwehreinsatzkräfte eine gefährliche Angelegenheit sein. Auch das Tier kann durch Fehler bei der Rettungsaktion weitere Verletzungen davontragen.

Das Seminar fand als Hybridveranstaltung statt, das heißt sowohl online als auch in Präsenz vor Ort. Den Auftakt bildete am Freitagabend ein rund dreistündiger Theorieblock für alle Teilnehmer, der online abgehalten wurde. Dabei wurde der Umgang mit Großtieren an Beispielen aufgezeigt und besprochen worauf bei einer sachgerechten Tierrettung zu achten ist. Themenschwerpunkte waren dabei die Grundsätze der sicheren und schonenden Großtierrettung, das Risiko „Großtier“, das Verhalten von Großtieren in Notlagen, die drei Rettungsregeln für die Sicherheit von Mensch und Tier sowie die Alarmierung von Helfern und die Rolle des Tierarztes.

Für den rund vierstündigen praktischen Teil in Präsenz wurden die Teilnehmer in vier Gruppen aufgeteilt, die zeitversetzt am Samstag bzw. am Sonntag mit geeigneter Rettungsausrüstung das praktische Handling von Rettungstechniken am Pferdedummy sowie Schleif- und Hebetechniken üben konnten.

Von der Feuerwehr Oberderdingen nahmen Andreas Bäuerle (Abteilung Oberderdingen), Keven Braun (Abteilung Großvillars) und Marco Dinkel von der Abteilung Flehingen am diesem sehr interessanten und informativen Seminar teil, welches von Peter Gross von Feuerwehr Walzbachtal-Jöhlingen zusammen mit dem Kreisfeuerwehrverband Karlsruhe organisiert wurde.
