Ein piepsender privater Rauchmelder rief am Gründonnerstag, 14.04.22 die Einsatzkräfte auf den Plan. Um 14.03 Uhr wurden die Abteilung Oberderdingen und die Drehleiter der Abteilung Flehingen von der integrierten Leitstelle Karlsruhe mit den Stichworten „Privater Rauchmelder“ zu einem Brandeinsatz in die „Wette“ im alten Oberderdinger Ortskern alarmiert, nachdem Nachbarn den Rauchwarnmelder in einem Mehrfamilienwohnhaus gehört und über den Euro-Notruf 112 gemeldet hatten.

 

Nach dem Eintreffen an der Einsatzstelle und der Erkundung änderte sich die Lage jedoch rasch und aus dem Brandeinsatz wurde ein technischer Hilfeleistungseinsatz, denn wie es sich herausstelle, war der Rauchmelder im als Kellerbereich genutzten Erdgeschoss durch Wasserdampf getäuscht worden. Der Wasserdampf war durch den unkontrollierten Austritt von warmem Wasser aus einem defekten Heizungsrohr in einem Abstellraum entstanden.

Die Feuerwehr schieberte als erste Maßnahme den Zulauf ab, so dass der weitere Wasseraustritt gestoppt werden konnte. Da bereits drei Räume rund zwei Zentimeter hoch unter Wasser standen, wurde das Wasser anschließend mit Handschiebern in einen vorhandenen Ablauf befördert. Obwohl es sich bei diesem Alarm nicht um einen Brand handelte, konnte der Alarm des Rauchmelders größeren Schaden verhindern.

Im Einsatz waren 18 Feuerwehrangehörige der Abteilung Oberderdingen mit dem Löschgruppenfahrzeug LF 16/20, dem Hilfeleistungslöschgruppenfahrzeug HLF 20 und dem Einsatzleitwagen ELW 1 sowie drei Kräfte der Abteilung Flehingen mit der Drehleiter DLA (K) 23/12. Der Rettungsdienst des DRK-Kreisverbands Karlsruhe war mit zwei Mitarbeiter*innen und einem Rettungswagen RTW von der Wache Oberderdingen angerückt. Von der Polizei waren zwei Beamte vom Polizeiposten Oberderdingen vor Ort, der im gleichen Gebäude untergebracht ist. Einsatzende war gegen 15.15 Uhr.
