09.06.2021 - Mehr als 44 Millionen Euro für die Feuerwehren im Land

Das Land fördert die Feuerwehren im Jahr 2021 mit mehr als 44 Millionen Euro. Investiert wird in Fahrzeuge, Feuerwehrhäuser, Einsatzgeräte und Unterstützung für die Ausstattung und Ausbildung der Feuerwehrangehörigen in den Gemeinden.

„Wir fördern in diesem Jahr die Feuerwehren in unseren Städten und Gemeinden mit mehr als 44 Millionen Euro! Das ist gut angelegtes Geld in die Sicherheit unseres Landes“, sagte der stellvertretende Ministerpräsident und Innenminister Thomas Strobl.

Investition in die Sicherheit des Landes

Im aktuellen Jahr unterstützt das Land Investitionen der Feuerwehren in Fahrzeuge und Feuerwehrhäuser im Umfang von rund 32,6 Millionen Euro. Damit können alle gestellten Anträge berücksichtigt werden. Hinzu kommen nochmals 11,6 Millionen Euro als pauschale Unterstützung für die Ausstattung und Ausbildung der Feuerwehrangehörigen in den Gemeinden sowie für die Beschaffung von Einsatzgeräten der Feuerwehren.

„Wir werden auch weiterhin die Mittel der Feuerschutzsteuer vollumfänglich für das Feuerwehrwesen verwenden: neben der Förderung der Fahrzeuge und Feuerwehrhäuser in den Städten und Gemeinden etwa für den Betrieb und den Ausbau der Landesfeuerwehrschule, für Leistungen an Feuerwehrangehörige, die im Dienst schwer verunfallt sind, für Zuwendungen an den Landesfeuerwehrverband und auch für die Brandschutzforschung,“ führte Minister Thomas Strobl weiter aus. Die Feuerschutzsteuer wird auf der Grundlage des Feuerschutzsteuergesetzes als Versicherungsentgelt aus Feuerversicherungen erhoben; Steuerschuldner sind die Versicherer. Die Einnahmen aus der Feuerschutzsteuer werden nach einem festgelegten Schlüssel auf die einzelnen Bundesländer aufgeteilt. Im Jahr 2021 entfallen auf Baden-Württemberg voraussichtlich 69 Millionen Euro.

Zentrale Rolle im Bevölkerungsschutz

„Die Feuerwehren haben nicht nur während der aktuellen Corona-Pandemie eindrucksvoll unter Beweis gestellt, dass sie eine zentrale Rolle im Bevölkerungsschutz übernehmen. Allen Feuerwehrangehörigen gebührt Dank und Anerkennung für die hervorragende Arbeit in unserem Land“ betonte Innenminister Thomas Strobl.
