17.04. / 02.05.2025 - Kellerbrände und deren besondere Gefahren im Fokus

Oberderdingen. Beim Übungsabend der Einsatzabteilung Oberderdingen an Gründonnerstag, 17.04.25 stand das Thema „Kellerbrand“ auf dem Dienstplan. Obwohl ein Feuer in einem Keller prinzipiell genauso wie ein anderes Feuer gelöscht wird, gibt es doch einige Besonderheiten und zusätzliche Gefahren, die es zu beachten gilt.

Genau auf diese Besonderheiten wiesen uns nach einer theoretischen Übersicht die Ausbilder Georg und Oliver in der Praxis hin. Anschaulich konnte dies bei einer Begehung der weitläufigen Kelleranlagen aus verschiedenen Epochen an der Strombergschule verdeutlicht werden. So müssen die Atemschutzgeräteträger bei solchen Einsätzen beispielsweise ein besonderes Augenmerkt auf die bei Kellern meist nur wenig, ungeeignet oder gar nicht vorhandenen zusätzlichen Gebäudeöffnungen (Fenster, Türen) für den Rauch- und Wärmeabzug sowie als Flucht- und Rettungsweg legen. Auch ist bei Kellern mit hohen Brandlasten zu rechnen und auf bauliche bzw. technische Besonderheiten (verschiedene Heizungsanlagen, Elektro- bzw. Gasinstallationen, Tankräume, etc.) zu achten, um nur einige Beispiele zu nennen.

Zum Abschluss des Ausbildungsabends folgte ein praktischer Versuch, bei dem das Brand- und Rauchverhalten bei einem Zimmerbrand an einem Modell simuliert wurde.

Aufbauend auf den Übungsdienst vom 17.04.25 wurde das erworbene Wissen beim Dienstabend am Freitag, 02.05.25 bei zwei Einsatzübungen von den Angehörigen der Einsatzabteilung Oberderdingen in der Praxis geübt. Dabei galt es zwei durchaus anspruchsvolle Szenarien von Kellerbränden mit vermissten Personen in den weiträumigen Kelleranlagen der Strombergschule zu bewältigen, was vor allem die vorgehenden Atemschutztrupps vor große Aufgaben stellte.

Beide Übungen konnten von den eingesetzten Kräften erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden, auch wenn, wie bei Übungen üblich und gewünscht, bei der Nachbesprechung auch immer Optimierungsmöglichkeiten zu Tage gefördert werden.
