Am Freitagabend, 20.09.24 wurden die Abteilungen Oberderdingen und Großvillars sowie die Drehleiter der Abteilung Flehingen um 19.35 Uhr von der integrierten Leitstelle Karlsruhe zu einem Brandeinsatz zur Firma Blanco in Oberderdingen alarmiert. Im Werk 1 in der Flehinger Straße hatte die automatische Brandmeldeanlage Alarm geschlagen.

Da bei der Abteilung Oberderdingen gerade der Übungsdienstabend angefangen hatte, konnten wir umgehend mit dem kompletten Löschzug - die Drehleiter war auch beim Übungsdienst eingebunden - ausrücken. Nach dem Eintreffen am Einsatzort und der anschließenden Lageerkundung sowie der Kontrolle des Objekts unter anderem mit einem Trupp unter Atemschutz mit Kleinlöschgerät und Wärmebildkamera konnte allerdings keine Ursache für die Alarmauslösung in einer Werkshalle gefunden werden. Weitere Maßnahmen waren somit nicht notwendig, das Objekt wurde nach dem Rückstellen der Brandmeldeanlage schließlich wieder an den Betreiber übergeben.

Im Einsatz waren 28 Feuerwehrangehörige der Abteilung Oberderdingen mit dem Löschgruppenfahrzeug LF 16/20, der Drehleiter DLA (K) 23/12, dem Hilfeleistungslöschgruppenfahrzeug HLF 20 und dem Einsatzleitwagen ELW 1, vier Kräfte der Abteilung Großvillars mit dem Mittleren Löschfahrzeug MLF sowie zwei Kräfte der Abteilung Flehingen mit dem Mannschaftstransportwagen MTW (weitere waren in Bereitstellung). Die Polizei war mit zwei Beamten und einem Streifenwagen vom Revier Bretten angerückt. Einsatzende war gegen 20.15 Uhr.
