Zu einem Brandeinsatz wurden am Samstag, 23.09.23 die Abteilungen Oberderdingen und Großvillars sowie die Drehleiter der Abteilung Flehingen um 14.02 Uhr von der integrierten Leitstelle Karlsruhe in die Karl-Fischer-Straße im Kernort Oberderdingen alarmiert. Von dort wurde auf einer Baustelle eine brennende Teerbahn gemeldet.

Nach dem Eintreffen an der Einsatzstelle ergab die Lageerkundung, dass bei Bitumenschweißarbeiten an einem Hausneubau die Isolierung an einem Fenster in Brand geraten war. Der Verursacher hatte umgehend Löschmaßnahmen mittels Wassereimer durchgeführt. So konnte das Feuer rasch gelöscht und eine Brandausbreitung verhindert werden. Von der Feuerwehr war ein Löschangriff mit einem C-Rohr vorbereitet worden. Außerdem wurde das Gebäude mit Wärmebildkamera kontrolliert und das Dämmmaterial teilweise entfernt. Nachdem keine Gefahr mehr bestand, konnte der Einsatz beendet werden.

Im Einsatz bzw. in Bereitstellung waren 28 Feuerwehrangehörige der Abteilung Oberderdingen mit dem Löschgruppenfahrzeug LF 16/20 und dem Einsatzleitwagen ELW 1, sieben Kräfte der Abteilung Großvillars mit dem Mittleren Löschfahrzeug MLF und drei Kräfte der Abteilung Flehingen mit der Drehleiter DLA (K) 23/12. Die Polizei war mit zwei Beamt*innen und einem Streifenwagen vor Ort. Einsatzende war gegen 15.00 Uhr.
